How to write a list that actually gets done

Shorter items, real verbs, and a home for everything that isn’t today.

A list stops working when it turns into a pile. The fix is mostly about how each line is written.

Start with a verb

“Mum’s birthday” is a worry. “Order Mum’s flowers” is a task. If you can’t start it in the next five minutes, it isn’t written yet.

Give later a home

Ideas, someday jobs and gift lists go in their own lists, so Today only shows what today needs.
